I am plowing through my many papers at the end of the semester...which is why I haven't been writing as much this week.

That sounds somewhat ominous to me, like something a terminator would say!
I'll be waiting!
Why don't you grade those final papers of the course of a month? It will take off some of the pressure of waiting until the last minute. Why do we procrastinate?
I'm retired from teaching now and instead of plowing through papers, I'm watching the students moving out. "Where'd all this stuff come from?" is the usual wail. Well, it came in bits and pieces over the semester and it wasn't taken away in bits and pieces near the end. They will have to make two packed runs instead of one and, to their mothers' relief, the old ratty couches they found will stay here, close by the dumpsters.
